Choosing a doctor is one of the most important decisions you can make. You want to find a doctor whom you feel comfortable with, and who you think can give you the best medical care and advice. Dauris Figueras, MD is our doctor. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has worked extensively as a Hospitalist over the past 4 years. As a hospitalist, he has faced increasingly complex cases that provided a solid foundation of knowledge to his practice. And now he is ready to integrate all this experience and knowledge to the private practice of medicine.
He is thought to be encouraging, supportive, lighthearted and a thorough physician by the nursing and medical staff of Memorial Miramar Hospital where he has worked for the past 4 years. He has received awards for excellence in medical services from the hospital and continues to be actively involved in quality committees in the Memorial Hospital Miramar.
Dr. Figueras initiated his Medical school at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba, Republic of Cuba where he studied four years. After immigrating to USA, he graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Central Del Este (UCE) Faculty of Health Sciences, in the Dominican Republic. He completed his training in the specialty of Internal Medicine at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. As a physician, one of the biggest challenges you face is turning your patients from passive participants in their health care to engaged members working closely with you on their care.
